Aphorism

No, it’s not a little green insect that sucks the life out of a rose leaf.

An aphorism is a comment on human behaviour, generally true, often tongue in cheek, sometimes wise, often ironic.

I was just having a bit of fun reading some quotes from a book of aphorisms, and I thought I would share one with you that gave me a chuckle. Women, especially, might like this one. (My apologies to all the good husbands out there.)

The majority of husbands remind me of an orangutan trying to play the violin.

Tune in next time for another aphorism, or quote, or something fun. Who knows? You might find one you like and want to quote it in your writing.

  1. I too have a book of aphorisms, was going to share the title with you but can’t find it. Hmm… Where did it go? I did find a book of Epigrams (have no idea what those are)–“All that is not eternal is eternally out of date, by C.S. Lewis.

    Have a wonderful day!
